Leroy Epps, the sixth of fourteen children born to the late Roscoe Epps, Sr. and Gustavia Sartor Epps entered this life on March 14, 1937, and departed July 18, 2025.

Leroy was raised and educated in Union, South Carolina where he graduated from Sims High School in 1957.

That same year, Leroy traveled to Aliquippa, PA to celebrate his graduation while visiting his older brother. Instead of returning home to Union, he got a job and met the love of his life, Marjorie Horton Epps. They were married in 1961, a blessed union of 64 years that truly stood the test of time.

He was a hard-working man and held various jobs to support his family, working at J&L steel for 17 years before retiring from Schroeder Industries in 2003.

Leroy  was a member of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Aliquippa, PA for 63 years, where he served as Trustee Pro Tem and Trustee Emeritus. His unwavering dedication as a servant leader resonated deeply within the community, leading him to be honored as an unsung hero in 2014. He left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Anyone who knew Leroy knew that he loved his family and friends.  Leroy loved traveling to his hometown yearly, vacationing to Myrtle Beach, enjoying numerous family reunions, and hanging out with his friends.

Leroy was a proud man. Talking with him was fun and always predictable because, on any given day at any given time, you could ask him how he was doing and the answer was always the same; "I'm good, I can't complain". He was content with the life God gave him and always expressed that he had no regrets.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers Roscoe Epps, Jr., Lewis Epps, James Epps, William Epps, Clarence Epps.

He leaves to cherish his wife, Marjorie Epps, daughter Yvette Epps Quamina, son Brian Epps and granddaughter, Shikira Quamina; four brothers: John Epps, Sr., Edward Epps, Albert Epps and Terry (Lucille) Epps of South Carolina; four sisters: Clara Mae Stuckey, Corrine (Eugene) Sims, Gussie Thompson & Marie (Jerome) Rutherford, also of Union, South Carolina, many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, special friends: Albert Frank, Booker Fanning, and many other family and friends.
