Lorenzo Williams, 76, of Bridgeville Pa, entered into eternal rest with our Father God on Thursday. December 16, 2021. He entered this world on November 12, 1945 in Edgewater, AL and was the son of the late Mabel Williams - Whisnant and Claude Whisnant.

A proud resident and 1965 graduate of Aliquippa High School, Lorenzo had a lifelong dedication to learning and a thirst for knowledge that he always sought to satisfy. In 1967, he paid the ultimate sacrifice when he was drafted into the military during the Vietnam War. He served as a combat soldier until he was honorably discharged in 1969. He immediately went on to attend Penn State University, where he graduated in 1975 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Community Development. Then, in 1978, he completed his coursework at ICM School of Business and earned his degree in Computer Programming and Systems Development.

On September 22, 1979, Lorenzo exchanged vows in holy matrimony with the love of his life, Ares Michelle White Williams. Together, they shared 45 years of love, 42 years of marriage, 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren!

One of the accomplishments that Lorenzo was proudest of was his membership in the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He proudly crossed the "Burning Sands" on December 4, 1981 into the Nu Upsilon Lambda Chapter, and lived his life with the organization's core values as his own.

Lorenzo was a man of great faith and hope. His life's work was serving the community and finding solutions to the problems that he observed. From running youth story time groups, to being a "founding member" of the Franklin Center of Beaver County to being the first African-American man to run for Mayor of Aliquippa; the welfare of the people was always his primary concern and literally until his last breath, he was rooting for Aliquippa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dothrene "Dot" Smith and his father in law, Aaron White Sr.

Lorenzo leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Ares; two daughters, Andrenna Williams of Aliquippa and Alicia (Maurice) King of Aliquippa; four grandsons, Adarian and Amir Williams of Aliquippa and Tyreese and Aaron King of Aliquippa; and one granddaughter, Aiyana King of Aliquippa; a devoted mother in law, Dolores White, his very best friend, Clint Harris of Maryville, TN, ALL OF HIS FAMILY and an eclectic plethora of loved ones and friends. Lorenzo never met a stranger, and anyone who knew him, worked with him, or met him even one time was forever impacted by his love.

Friends may visit with the family at The Gospel Tabernacle, 100 Park Ridge Dr., Aliquippa, on Wednesday, Dec 22, 2021 from 6 pm – 8pm, with the Alpha Phi Alpha Omega service at 7:30 pm, and celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Dec 23, 2021 at 11 am.
