Mrs. Lucille McCullum, 85, transitioned to her heavenly home on Saturday August 19 ^, 2017 at the ManorCare Health Center.

She was born July 26, ^, 1932 in Jasper County, MS to the late Lum and Lilly James.

Lucille was a long time resident of Erie, Pa. She was employed at St. Mary Home in the laundry department for 45 years. For over 60 years, Lucille served as member of the First Good Samaritan A.M.E. Zion church where she labored on the Usher board, kitchen committee, and the gospel choir.

Besides her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Hardell McCullum; and one sister Virginia Mikell.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Hattie (Troy) Morrison of Erie, Pa; four sons, Burnis Myers of Memphis, TN, William McCullum of Erie, Pa, Lum Anthony McCullum (Dorothy) of Avon, OH, and Hardy Lee McCullum of Buffalo, NY;  one brother, James Early Nixon; nine grandchildren, Michael, DeAndre, Elayna, Troy, Arrielle, Gianna, Megan, Sequa, and Hardy; seven great  grandchildren; three godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday August 24, 2017 from 10am until the time of service at 11am at the First Good Samaritan A.M.E. Zion Church, 3209 Pennsylvania Ave Erie, Pa 16504 with Rev. Amos Goodwine Jr. eulogizing. Internment at the Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
