Mai Thi Norman, age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Rochester Manor & Villa in Rochester, PA. She was born August 15, 1937, in Can Tho, Vietnam, to Nguyen Chanh Dan and Tran Thi Tuoi.

She had to start working at 12 years old to help support her mom and dad because she was the seventh of 10 kids. She married Bobby Norman in 1970, in Vietnam. She moved to the U.S in 1973 and worked as a seamstress. Then she worked at Westinghouse for four years. She also worked at Phoenix Glass where she retired in 2005.

Mai truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; she enjoyed cooking for holiday parties, and making her world, famous eggrolls. She was an avid gardener, who had a green thumb. Mai loved traveling to Vietnam to visit her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Michele Norman, grandchildren, Mya and Michael Norman, Rochester; her sister Minh Ngo, California; her brother Chinh Ngo, Vietnam; her nephew Thuan Ngo, Virginia; devoted friends, Mose and Linda Hill, both of Ambridge; Sue Schmidly, Rochester; Rose Mavrich, Aliquippa; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
