Marjorie Chavonne Hammond (41) of Erie, PA., made her transition from this world unexpectedly Monday, August 7, 2023, at Hamot UPMC. Marjorie was born and raised in Erie, PA on December 11, 1981 to Charlie and the late Diann Hammond.

Marjorie graduated from Central High School in Erie, PA in 2000. She attended St. John the Baptist School from the age of 3 years old until High School. From there she continued her education at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and Kaplan Career Institute to pursue a nursing career. Following her school attendance, Marjorie continued to build her life through employment working at Help at Home where she had the pleasure of taking care of her grandmother Mrs. Shaw.  She also invested into her family and friends.

Marjorie had an irresistible personality.  She was loving and caring all while battling her fight with Sickle Cell Anemia. She was a lover of fashion and shopping.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandmother as well as her friends. She also enjoyed listening to music and writing poetry. She attended Second Baptist Church majority of her life.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her mother Diann Hammond, her maternal grandfather Robert L. Shaw and paternal grandparents John and Ada Hammond.

In addition to her Father Charles S. Hammond and Brother Charles Juron Hammond, Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory: her grandmother Margaree Shaw; Host of uncles, aunts, her God Mother (Sharon Henderson) her crew of friends and many others. Marjorie will be achingly missed by all.
