Marshall Gene Young, 56, of Harborcreek, PA, passed away Sunday, May28,2023 at UPMC Hamot, in Erie, PA  after an extended illness. He was born on January 5,1967 at Corry Memorial Hospital in Corry, PA to the late John Young and Karen Smith Young Gunther.

He graduated from Seneca High School, Wattsburg ,PA and Erie County Vo-tech in 1986. He served in the US Marine Corps for 4 years.

He worked in construction, landscaping and machine shops in the Erie area.

Marshall enjoyed fishing. the outdoors and riding and working on his motorcycle.

He is survived by his mother Karen Gunther and stepfather Joseph Gunther of Ripley, NY; a brother John Young (Marina) of Cedar Creek, TX.; A sister Cindy Rogers (James) of Altamont, TN; a nephew Daniel Dulong (Kaitlyn) of Chapel Hill, TN; Two nieces Jazlynn Kimmy of Knoxville, TN and Julia Kuzima of Austin, TX. ; His longtime special friend and companion Amber Bingham of Harborcreek, PA and good friend Craig Johnson of Erie, PA.

Visitation and services will be held at Pitts Funeral Home 2926 Pine Avenue, Erie PA 1-3 pm on Saturday June 3, 2023
