Mary Alice (Dixon) Arrington, 72 was born in Summerland, Mississippi on January4, 1948, daughter of the late Sherman and Sally Gillium.  Mary was called home on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at UPMC Hamot surrounded by family, after a lengthy illness.

Mary adored her grand and great-grandchildren. She loved the royal color purple and accented it with ebony black. She was an encourager and made here connections by phone. Mary loved to beautify herself and was a wiz at crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Willie James Arrington, brothers, J.D., Jesse, Sherman (Bo), Walter, and Eddie Dixon; sisters Mary Lee Keys and Mary Lou Martin.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons Todrick (Chris), and Myron Arrington, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.  A brother Deacon Willie (Minister Betty), and two sisters, Josephine Robinson of Laurel, MS, and Jennie Moffatt, of Taylorsville MS.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
