Heaven is rejoicing as they receive the most precious angel on Earth. Mary Ann "Lois" Davis, 88, transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in her loving home. Entering into this life on October 26, 1930, born to the late William (Shorty) and Cora Freeman in Aliquippa, Pa. She was the sixth of seven children. In June of 1958, she married Wallace William Davis.

Lois received an Associate in Arts degree from the Community College of Beaver County in 1976 and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Geneva College in 1979, with an emphasize on Christian Education. Later, she pursued a Master of Education degree from Penn State University. She was a retired teacher from the Aliquippa School District. She also worked at the Federal Enamel Stamping Company and Gilmore School for Girls.

Lois was a lifelong member of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church, where she served in various capacities. She was a Sunday School teacher, organizer and director of the Children's Choir, Youth and Young Adult Choir, Gospel Chorus, Youth Leader, Director of Christian Education and the Y.P.D Society. She also served as District Superintendent of the Allegheny District supervising the education of 17 churches, youth class leader, director of the Pittsburgh Annual Conference Missionary Society of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, elected as delegate to the General Conference and appointed as a Wilberforce Trustee. She was also appointed an Evangelist and director of Vacation Bible School. Lois served the Beaver County Churches as a Mistress of Ceremonies and speaker at numerous Women's Day Church anniversaries. For a short period of time, Lois joined Miracle C.O.G.I,C serving as a Sunday School teacher and spoke on several occasions.

In Lois's own words, "If anyone would ask for information about me, for whatever reason it might be, tell them one day Jesus He found me when I was lost. Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me!"

In addition to her parents, her husband of 59 years, Wallace William Davis preceded her in death on April 19, 2017; three sisters, Salatha Haynes (Lawrence), Margrette Pierson and Thelma Freeman; two brothers, Amos Freeman (Henrietta) and William Freeman, Jr.

Cherishing her memory and legacy are her loving and devoted daughters, Renee Jefferson (Washington D.C), Constance A. Phillips (Aliquippa); grandchildren, Damian H. Jefferson (Aliquippa), Tiffany Phillips-Ojo (A. Thomas), Talaya Jefferson (Washington D.C.); three great-grandchildren, Zaniya Lewis (Atlanta GA), Damia Walker (Beaver Falls), Tajon Jefferson (Washington, DC); four great-great-grandchildren, Harlym, Johnson, Camdyn Woods, Rylee Belle and Sienna Harris; a host of nieces and nephews; a devoted brother, Reverend Joe L. Freeman, Sr.; brother-in-law, Archie Pierson; Goddaughter, Charmaine Norville; devoted neighbors, Eleanor (Boots) and Maureen Redd and J.R. Gilliam.
