Mary J Lewis of Erie PA passed away on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024. She was born on August 30th, 1941 to the late Buffus and Viola Payton Speed.

Mary was a member of Shiloh Baptist church and was an active missionary who enjoyed Bible studies. Mary loved working in her yard, she also enjoyed going out to dinner with friends, shopping, and going to the GECAC Senior Center, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Sabrina Fatima Barry and her grandson Kenneth Christian Twyne.6 Sisters Thelma Mclaurin, Velma Green, Rosemarie Lofton, Pearly Edwards, Emma Jean Ridgeway, and Mary Lee Blanks. Three brothers, Otis, Paul and Lavell Speed.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter Raby Barry, two sons Boubacar and Thierno Barry ; one sister Barbara ( Willie ) Andros; 14 grandchildren Kyle, Oumar, Thierno jr, Nouria, Isabella, Maryauna, Isaiah, Kateri, Kamaya, Kaleah, Khader, Destiny, Maggie, and Melisa Barry;  great grandson Oumar Barry Jr; special friends Kim Amado, Mary Richardson, Mae Page, Vivian Tate, Marie Roberts, and Dr. Annette Franklin; nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends..
