Melvin Jerome Cannon (Catfish) 66, of Aliquippa, PA, departed this life on November 23,2025 in Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born on July 23,1959 in Charlotte, NC to the late Collier E. and Mary L. Cannon.

Melvin was a graduate of Aliquippa High School class of 1977.  He later joined The U.S. Military serving in the Army and Navy. Melvin had numerous jobs but his favorite one was working for The B.F.Jones Memorial Library.

Fish was a die-hard fan of The NewYork Jets. He accepted Christ in October 2025.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 35 years; Rebecca Lynn Hannon-Cannon, his daughter; Raina Cannon and his son; Regis Hannon. Granddaughters; Jaiden Cobb and Jourdin Cannon, Grandsons; Jeremiah Cobb, Jhett Cannon, Me'Saud, Masai and Rio Hannon. Siblings; Carolyn Irby of Woodruff, SC, Russell Cannon of Penn Hills, PA, Collier "CC" Bryant of Aliquippa, PA, Richard (Jeanette) Bronaugh of Antioch, CA, Michael(Tami) Bryant of Warren, PA, Rhonda Dalton and Jada(Nazar)Scott both of Laurel, MD

Fish also leaves to cherish his memories his devoted Aunt; Annieruth Robinson of Aliquippa, PA, Uncle;  Douglas(Queen) Cannon of Charlotte, NC, Special Cousins; Aurelia (Daryl) Brown of Greer, SC,  Marion and Steven Cannon of Enoree, SC, Kenneth Cannon of Houston, TX and The Elmore Family of SC.and The Owens Family of Coraopolis, PA, Close friends; Mark Gilbert, Quentin and Kurt Milliner, Cynthia Newsome and Alan and Tracey Marchman.

In addition to his parents Melvin was preceded in death by his Grandson, Jaxson Cobb, Sisters, Ebony Leonard, Cheryl and Michelle Bryant, Brothers, Collier Cannon Jr. and Michael Cannon. Special Cousins, Brian Elmore Sr. and Simone Cox. Paternal Grandparents; Russell and Aurelia Cannon and Maternal Grandparents; Richard Owens and Banner Wee Elmore.
