Melvin Lee Henderson, 63, passed away on January 12, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on February 17, 1961, in Erie, PA to the late Ben Turner and Gloria J. Brodie.

Melvin was a graduate of the GED program through the United States Marine Corps where he served as a warehouse manager for 3 years.

He was a former member of Shiloh Baptist Church as a younger child.

Melvin was a hard worker and good provider for his family. He enjoyed listening to music, sports, loved being outdoors, loved his jeep and dog. Mel wanted everyone to know he loved and enjoyed his life.

Besides his father Ben Turner, he was preceded in his death by his grandmother Bertha Mooney and his brother Daryll Henderson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife - Melissa Henderson ; Four sons - Randall Henderson, Deontae Henderson, Jordan Henderson, and Evan Deboe; Two daughters - Latoya (Henderson) Lawrence and Arianna Henderson. Many grandchildren, stepchildren, and step-grandchildren. He leaves behind Brothers - Pastor Curtis Henderson, Andre Henderson, and Sidney Henderson. Sisters - Brenda Henderson, Gloria Holmes, and Rodney, Ramona Henderson, and Betsy Gavin; step brother - Jimmy Arrington;  and Andre Moore(Shoty) and Darryl Curlett best childhood friends-
