Michael Barrett January 30, 1962 – May 18, 2025

Michael Barrett, 63, of Erie, PA, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025. Born in New Brighton, PA, Michael lived a life full of dedication, passion, and love for his family.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Michael was known for his warm heart, quick wit, and unwavering work ethic. In his early life, he gave back to the community as a youth counselor for Harborcreek Youth Services. He moved on to build his life and career as a truck driver, traveling countless miles with determination and pride to provide for those he loved.

Michael had a deep appreciation for classic muscle cars, often sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with anyone who would listen. A proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., he carried the values of brotherhood, leadership, and service throughout his life. Sundays in the fall were reserved for cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers—a tradition he loved sharing with his family.

Above all, Michael treasured time spent with his grandchildren. Whether playing with them or simply being present in their lives, he found his greatest joy in their smiles and laughter.

Michael is survived by his children, Cameron (Micah) Barrett and Dahnivan Barrett; grandchildren, Dayvion Barrett and Leona Barrett; and his sisters, Donna Watford, Sandy Barrett, Vicky Barrett, and Linda Bell.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Veronica Barrett; his mother, Hilda Barrett; his father, Donald Barrett; and his brother, Mark Barrett. Michael's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His presence, wisdom, and laughter will be deeply missed.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Omega Service, Celebration of Life 1:30 pm, at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 410 Wykes Street, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
