Mildred Durham Patterson, 96, of Aliquippa, passed away on January 31, 2023.

She was born in Aliquippa, PA on April 24, 1926 to the late Milton Gilbert, Sr. and Lula Ozie Bell Gilbert. Their union started a blended family of 5 children. Her mother had 2 sons; Arnold Lee Gilbert and Henry Douglas Gilbert and her father had

3 daughters; Marie Cooper, Thelma Bass and Maude Gilbert, all deceased. Through her mother and father's union, 5 children were born; Ozie Bell Gilbert, John Gilbert, Milton Gilbert, Freddie Gilbert (all deceased) and Mildred.

Mildred married Willie "Sonny" Durham and to that union 4 sons were born; Willie Frank, Ernest, Dwayne and George. She later married B.C. Patterson.

Mildred was employed by Holy Family Institute for many years and was a valued employee.   She was also a faithful long time member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Aliquippa, currently under Pastor Alec K. Piper.

She was also preceded in death by 2 sons; Willie Frank Durham and Ernest Durham and daughter –in-law, Audrey Durham.

She leaves to mourn 2 sons; Dwayne Durham and his wife, Sonnie and George Durham. She also leaves to mourn, devoted cousin, Rosecilla Walker, daughter-in-law; Loretta Durham, as well as Donna Bott and the staff of the Office of the Aging, devoted friends; Gwen Lindsey, Jane Mills, Helen Tucker, Mr. and Mrs. Waymond (neighbors), Shirley Scott, devoted Sister-in-Law, Dorothy Gilbert, 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and cousins.
