Milvette Adkins Obituary

Milvette Adkins, 87, of Antioch, CA, passed away on Wednesday May 17th, 2023. She was born on April 11th, 1936 in Ridgeway, South Carolina to the late Osborne McCorkle and Marie Green McCorkle. She graduated from Fairfield Co. Training State High School in June 1955. She worked in the hotel industry as a cook until retiring from the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott Hotel in 2011. She enjoyed singing, praising and studying the word of the LORD.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 2 sons Chet and Sean Adkins and her daughter Charmaine Dunlap; 7 brothers: Aaron McCorkle, Elijah McCorkle, Amon McCorkle, Marion McCorkle, Ramon McCorkle, Daniel McCorkle and Moses McCorkle; 5 sisters: Susie Bates, Sammiebelle Jackson, Anna Mae Richardson, Mary Gist, and Lydia Pennington.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Kevin Adkins; her brother Clarence McCorkle; a grandchild Chantel Adkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 920 Franklin Ave. Aliquippa, PA 15001. Visitation will be June 6 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and the celebration of life June 7, 11:00 am. Both will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church 20 Beaver St. Leetsdale, PA 15056.
