Miquel Damone Goudy, 44, of Erie, PA passed away on July 11, 2024 unexpectedly. Miquel was born on December 20, 1979, to Michael Steven Barnes Sr. (Carla) and the late Monique Rene Goudy-Nixon (Mark).

Miquel attended Central Memorial Tech and Glenn Mills where he obtained his GED. He later furthered his education at Triangle Tech receiving an electrician license. Miquel was an employee of the Olive Garden for more than a decade. He was later employed at Curtze, JTM, and most recently at Family Dollar.

He was a loving and devoted father who loved spending time with his children and family. He enjoyed listening to music, rapping, cooking, dancing, and just being Papa Billie. Miquel was a die-hard Steelers fan and wasn't scared to shout it!

Miquel laughter and smile lit up any room he walked in.

He was preceded in death by his mother Monique Rene Goudy-Nixon;  maternal great-grandmother Ethel Mae Kinnard; beloved grandmother Sara Goudy; great aunt Gloria Amos; uncle Bobby Horton Jr; and paternal grandparents Willie B.and Sarah Mae Barnes.

He leaves to cherish his memory his five daughters - Maquaysha, Alaysha, and Deasia Goudy, Dakwona, and Curzjona Crosby; his one and only son Shamir Nagle; four shining grandchildren; sisters Malanea Goudy - Martin (George), Shakira Drayer, Paige Collins, and Jasmine Johnson; two brothers - Michael Barnes Jr, and Malcolm Barnes; father Michael Barnes Sr (Carla), and stepfather Mark Nixon; his children's mothers - Snowie Crosby and Talisha Nagle; grandfather Bobby Horton Sr; Godparents - Jill Wayne, Evelyn Flower, and Paul Gambill; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Miquel will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who knew and loved him.

Friends may visit with the family at Greater Calvary FGBC, 2624 German Street, on Saturday, July 20. 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, where a celebration of life will immediately follow, with Pastor Colin Gavin eulogizing.
