Myron Paul Thomas passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital in Medina, Ohio.

He was born on January 31, 1964 in Erie, PA, son of Julia Mae Bean Thomas and the John Henry Miller.

He was a great student athlete. While attending East High school he was standout wrestler and football player. He graduated with high honors and received numerous awards and accolades. He always hustled very hard to earn what he wanted in life. He began working at the early age of 12. After graduating high school in 1982, he worked for companies Erisco and Hammermill. He also attended Penn State Behrend completing management and engineering courses.

He eventually left Erie to pursue other employment opportunities in the state of Ohio. He utilized his educational skills with many companies including Universal Plastics, and Oatey Incorporated. His employer relied on his expertise to supply parts directly to General Motors. He eventually was prompted to a supervisory position where he flourished.

Myron accepted Christ at a young age. He was an active member in church at Greater Bethlehem Temple under the leadership of Bishop T.R. Ratcliff Senior. While in Ohio, he was a member of the Fairfield Christian Center in Lorraine, OH, where he served as the minister of music and choir director, under the leadership of Bishop Dennis Johnson. Under the Lord's guidance he was led to the House of the Lord, in Akron, OH under the leadership of Bishop Joey Johnson.

He inherited his musical talent from his grandfather recording artist "Big" John Henry Miller and his father John Miller Henry. He was an accomplished piano and organ player; he loved playing the keyboards. Myron was blessed to have a great singing voice. He received this gift from his mother Julia, who love singing in church choirs. He was an avid Los Angeles Raider fan, always rooting for the silver and black. Myron was a sharp dresser and had a hat and shoes for every suit.

He was preceded in death by: maternal grandparents – Joe Tom Bean, Ruby Hooten Bean; paternal grandparents – 'Big" John Henry Miller and Willie Lou Harris Miler; brothers – Willie B. Skinner and Johnny Will "Nuke" Miller.

The memories of his life are cherished by his mother Julia Thomas of Eire, PA; wife Simone Carr Thomas of Medina, OH; sisters – Idea Mae Tupiza of Hobbs, NM, Barbara Newell of Romeoville, IL, Essie Skinner of Crawford, MS, Helen Miller of Brooksville, MS, Kathy (Emeka) Ibemere of Erie, PA; sister in law Annie Harris Miller of Columbus, MS; brothers – Eugene Tate of Chicago, IL, John Miller, Gregory Miller, James Miller all of Crawford, MS, Bennie Miller of Erie, PA, Edward Earl Miller of Chicago, IL; three daughters – Sherlanda Thomas of Anaheim, CA Shelina Sims (Bernard) of Erie, PA, Riasha Dene Hylton (Dwain) of Fort Worth, TX; six sons – Jason D. Thomas (Tinya), Myron L. Thomas (Alexandrea) of Erie, PA, Johnathan A. Thomas M.D. of Atlanta, GA, Martell De'jaun Thomas of Erie, PA, Trevonte Marshawn Morman (HiuYee) of Baumholder, Germany, Maurion Xavier Thomas of Elyria, OH; five grandchildren – Johnathan and Anyla Thomas of Atlanta, GA, Myraya and Myshon Thomas of Erie, PA, Rainah Hylton of Fort Worth, TX along with other family and friends.
