Paris Ramone Akins, Sr., son of Barbara Ann Akins and the late Manly Banks, Sr., was born on October 8, 1970, in Pittsburgh, PA. He transitioned on Monday, August 26, 2024 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital surrounded by his family. Paris was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Homer Akins, and a sister,Shelly Fleming.                             .

Paris moved to Aliquippa, PA with his grandmother, Mother Johnnie Mae Akins, at an early age. He was educated in the Aliquippa School District and graduated from Aliquippa High School in 1989.  After graduation, he attended ICM School of Business and was the Co-Owner of Action Cleaning and JanitorialServices, as well as Coverall Cleaning Concepts. He also studied Biblical classes at the North Carolina College of Theology.

Paris joined, at the age of 8, Miracle Church of God in Christ in Aliquippa, PA under the Pastorate of the late Rev. Dr. David A. Armstead. He was saved at an early age and was baptized on September 9, 1978. At the age of 15, he rededicated his life to the Lord. Paris further acknowledged his call to the ministry as a Preacher and a Teacher in 1989. He later received his ministerial license in 1997 and became an ordained an Elder on January 21, 2001.

As a member of Miracle C.O.G.I.C. (currently known as Greater Miracle Ministries, Ambridge, PA), Elder Paris was F.A.T. (Faithful, Available and Teachable). He was a servant, dedicated, committed, and passionate.  His ministry included singing in the Children's, Junior, and Senior Choirs; a member of the Holy MC's; served as an Usher, was Vice President of the Missionaries; and Teacher of the New Converts/ New Members Class. He also taught Sunday School, drove the church van, and cleaned the church. Continuing in service unto the Lord under our new Pastor, Bishop Laneer Fisher, Elder Paris continued to serve in ministry as an Armorbearer and in various areas of ministry, such as: the Men's Usher Board,Ministers' Alliance, Board of Elders, Building Fund Committee, Miracle Development Group, Evangelistic and Street Meeting Team, and an organizer for "Faith Day" at PNC Park with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Paris married his High School sweetheart and the love of his life, Shaynna Jeter on March 12, 1994 and to this union were born three children: Paris Ramone Akins,Jr., Malik Taron Akins, and Allante Imani-Michelle Akins. Paris was a family man: loving husband, doting father and proud grandfather. He was a friend and helper to everybody. He was affectionately known as "Uncle Paris", "Pops" and "Dad" to many.  All who knew him, loved him and enjoyed being in his presence.

Celebrating Elder Paris' life, cherishing his memory and legacy is his loving and devoted wife, Shaynna Jeter Akins; his three children: Paris, Jr, Malik (wife, Tiffany), and Allante Akins; three grandchildren: Tommie James Campbell III, Allani Amori Akins and Gia Rose Akins.  In addition, his Mother and Step-father: "Queen" Barb and Benjamin Jones of Lakeland, FL; his Grandmother, Rev. Mother Johnnie Mae "Nanny" Akins; Siblings: Elder Love Akins Collins, Troy Darnell Akins, Sr. (wife, Tameka), Forest JamesAkins, Malana Banks, Manly Banks, Jr., Daryl Craig, Tamara Craig, Rashawn Banks, Ebony Banks; loving aunts: Willa Akins Steele and Nina Akins; Mother-in-law, Janice Jones (husband, Tyrone); Sisters-in-law: Florence Woodson, Jessica Patrick, Tonya Moultrie, Yolonda Odom (husband, Dana), Kasi Harmon, Telise Stewart (husband, Antony); Brothers-in-law: Don Jeter(wife, Deana), Shonn Moultrie; Godmother, Rhonda Giles, Spiritual Mom, Mother Corelia Armstead; God-children: Anthony Williams, Nyna Sharee Bryant, Tyque Jeter, Ikea Wellons, Jordan Crumity; Spiritual children: Tesha Giles, Demetreis Dorsett, Marcus and Stephanie Barton; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, as well as his supportive and loving Pastor and First Lady, Bishop Laneer and Lady Sharon Fisher and his Greater Miracle Ministries Family.
