In Loving Memory of Patricia Ann Sallis

Patricia Ann Sallis, beloved pastor, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished matriarch, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2024 at the age of 83. She was born to Harold and Jane Jefferson on November 3, 1941, in Rochester, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Beaver Area High School and prior to marriage, was employed by the Westinghouse Plant in Beaver, PA.

A woman of profound faith and compassion, she devoted her life to serving others. Patricia was the devoted wife of Sam Sallis, Apostle and Pastor of the Holiness Church of Christ Deliverance Center (HCCDC), Industry, PA until his passing in 1993.  Patricia was appointed Pastor of the HCCDC in 1994.  As a Pastor, she touched countless lives, guiding and uplifting her congregation with unwavering love, wisdom, and grace. Her sermons were filled with the power of the word, and her counsel provided comfort to all who sought it. She was a beacon of light in our church community, always ready to offer a listening ear, a kind word, and a heartfelt prayer.

A loving mother and grandmother, she created a home filled with warmth, love, and guidance. Her children, grandchildren, and spiritual family were the pride and joy of her life, and she took great joy in watching them grow. Her legacy lives on in the values of kindness, faith, and resilience that she instilled in each of them.

As a sister, she was a constant source of support and strength. Her bond with her siblings was one of deep love and respect, and she cherished the time spent with her family. Known as a true matriarch, she and her later husband, Apostle Sam Sallis held their large family closely together. Their home was always open to those in need of comfort, support, or simply a place to gather. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.

Patricia is survived by her children: Eric Sallis (Kishma), Sam Sallis Jr., Willie Sallis (Cassandra), Rose Sallis, Fred Sallis (Inetta), Levoid Sallis, and one adopted daughter Rhonda Grant; a sister, Shirley Gregory (Wallace); and a brother, Harold Alvin Jefferson (Rita). Pastor Sallis is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Apostle Sam Sallis; her parents, Harold and Jane Jefferson; sisters Doris Caul and Betty Bell; and children Linda Byrd (Donald), Alice and Nikki Sallis (Sam, Jr.), Rick Sallis (Zelphia), Katherine Sallis (Levoid), Mattie Evans (Marvin), Kevin Grant (Rhonda).

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the Holiness Church of Christ Deliverance Center, 6349 Tuscarawas Rd, Industry, PA 15052, with visitation starting at 10:30 am and the service beginning at 11:00 am.

Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, resting in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served.
