Pedro Juan Garcia Burgos Jr., 51, of Erie, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Saint Vincent Hospital.  He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on December 19, 1967 to the late Pedro Juan Garcia Sr. and the late Carmen M. Burgos.

Pedro graduated from Luis LLorne Torres High School in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico. After relocating to Erie he became a member of Iglesia Bautista El Calvario FG Church.

He was a man of many talents, who loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar and softball. Pedro was also known as a jokester.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Garcia Burgos and his uncle, Angel Ivan Burgos Sr.

Pedro leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Emery (Erica) Sparks; two daughters, Carmen Garcia and Yesenia Garcia Lopez; a brother, Omar (Sandra) Garcia Burgos; eight grandchildren, Aire Auna, Emari, Emery Jr., James, Ja'Zhon, Ja'Vaeh, Jayvion and Kory Jr.; a niece, Ashley; three uncles, Miguel, Jesus, and Raphael Burgos; two aunts, Ema and Ada Iris Burgos; and a host of cousins and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at Iglesia Bautista El Calvario FG Church, 6366 W Lake Rd, Fairview, Pa, on Friday, February 1, 2019, from 10 am to 12 pm, where a home going celebration will immediately follow with Overseer Sonny Concepcion eulogizing. Interment will be at Erie Cemetery. Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Avenue, Erie, PA 16504.
