Pierre John Toran Sr., 63, of Erie, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. He was born August 5, 1958 in Philadelphia, PA to the honorable Eugene William Toran and Lettie Bridgett Toran.

Pierre John Toran (aka Johnny or JT) attended Academy High School where he was an avid football player and overall sport lover. As a sports lover "Johnny" has an unfailing love for the Dallas Cowboys. Johnny Toran was a man with a gigantic personality. In his presence you were sure to be encouraged by his hilarious humor, contagious laugh, and electric energy! He was the life of any party and the muscle for those in need! Johnny Toran loved to travel and equally as much, he loved fashion. He expressed himself through fashion with such debonair! You could count on this dapper gentleman to "dress to kill" for any and every occasion.

There was nothing else that Johnny loved more than that of his family. He was preceded in death by his highly esteemed parents, Lettie (Bridgett) Toran and Eugene William Toran Sr.

Pierre John Toran Sr. leaves to cherish his loving memory; his beloved children; Darrell Manus, Dacha Toran, Pierre Toran Jr., Shayla Goudy, Malauna Tate and Brandon Williams. Along with his siblings: Denise Gould, (Frederick Gould), Eugene Toran Jr., Malcolm Toran, Serwaa Toran. He also leaves to cherish his memory a grand host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, comrades and a special friend; Gail Hamilton.

Friends may visit with the family at Greater Calvary FGBC, 2624 German St, on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 10 am to 12 pm, where a home going celebration will immediately follow, with Bishop Jesse N. Gavin eulogizing. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery. Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave, Erie, PA 16504. Everyone must wear a mask!
