She Lived...
Prophetess Deborah Marie Kirksey (Abbie), 68, went home to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
on March 21, 2023. She was born and raised in East Liverpool Ohio then made Illinois home with her
family. She was born on November 7, 1955, to the late Anderson and Annie Abbott. Her spiritual
inheritance and early impartation of strength and courage that she received from her parents helped to
shape her future and guide her path.

She Reached...
Prophetess Abbie (affectionately known as) was the loving wife and First Lady to the late Pastor Dale
Kirksey, Sr and the mother of two children, Dale Kirksey, Jr. (deceased) and Alexis Chante Kirksey. She
was employed at the Southwest School in Tilton, IL working as a coordinator for the after-school
program. She also served as a mentor for Lincoln Challenge Youth of Today and handled the secretarial
administrative tasks for the Academic Branch. Her most recent achievement was her election to the office
of President for The Lincoln Challenge Youth Center in Danville, IL. Her efforts in this program have
assisted over 13,000 graduates though U.S, Military scholarships funds to foster vocational training and
jobs.

She Served...
She was in ministry for over 30 years and demonstrated her faith and Love for Christ by serving God's
people. She was the founder of the Daughters of Dorcas Women's Ministry and in 2010 alongside her late
husband, Pastor Dale Kirksey, Sr., they founded "I am the Lighthouse Ministries" Together they
conducted home Bible studies, fostered fellowships, ministered in juvenile detention centers, shelters and
worked street ministry for the Kingdom of God. In addition, she also started a praise dance ministry
called "The Lights" for young girls ages 5-17.

She Touched...
Prophetess Abbie had a passion for healing wounded people, as well as educating and mentoring women.
She ministered under a heavy prophetic and deliverance anointing. God used her mightily to encourage,
comfort and impact the lives of countless people. We were Blessed to witness her ability to lead God's
people in worship, to preach, teach and prophesy. She was fearfully and wonderfully made; her talents
and gifts were clearly exhibited in her life for the glory of God. Her favorite scripture verse was Proverbs
3:5-6 "trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy
ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Kirsey, Sr; son Dale Kirksey, Jr; parents, Anderson and
Annie May Abbott; brother Anderson Abbott Jr.

She Passed Through...
She leaves to cherish her memory: her family, daughter Alexis Chante Kirksey, sisters Betty Barber
(Terry); Apostle Barbara Dillard (Deacon Willie); Evangelist Denise M. Taylor (Minister Eugene); a host
of nieces and nephews; cousins, the Kirksey family and specials friends as well as many co-laborers in the
gospel.
