Raleigh "Ben" Doby, 92 of Aliquippa, PA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 17, 2025.  He was born in Aliquippa to the late Henry and Maude Doby, on July 13, 1933.  He was retiree from J & L Steel.  Ben spent many years as a contractor and carpenter, leaving his mark on countless projects.  He loved the outdoors, and he was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He also loved music, particularly jazz.   More than just a listener, Ben was a dedicated supporter of the jazz community, frequenting many live concerts and supporting local artists.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Davis, and Townsell "Tbaby" Thomas.  Sisters Mattie Rose Mack, and Henrietta Doby-Freeman, former wife Florence Doby, son Corneilius Dwight Doby and great-grandson Tornor Doby.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sons Raleigh Doby, Jr. (Linda), Hartford, CT, Erick Doby, Philadelphia, PA.  Daughters Yevett Adamson (Robert), Aliquippa, PA, Karen Haynes, Aliquippa, PA, and Daughter-n-Law, Sarah Mack Lawson-Doby.  Six grandsons and three granddaughters.  Six great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Special friends Cynthia Newsome, John Fields, Sr., and Juanita Crosby.

Viewing and funeral will be on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Triedstone Baptist Church, 505 Washington St., Aliquippa, PA 15001.  Viewing 10-12 pm, funeral at 12 PM.
