Regina Ann Cobb Simon, 75, of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, went home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2024. She was born on January 4, 1949, in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Eugene and Ann Cobb, her brothers Eugene (Jerome) and Malcolm Cobb.

She is survived by her brother Marlin Cobb (Marilyn McCoy) formerly of Aliquippa. Nephews: Eugene (Turk) Cobb, Malcolm (Buddha) Cobb, Shane Cobb and Nathan Cobb. Nieces: Yasmir (Cobb) Mathis, Kori Cobb and Kathy Jeter(deceased). She also leaves behind one Aunt and numerous cousins from all over and irreplaceable friends.

Regina attended Jones Elementary School, Aliquippa Jr. High and graduated from Aliquippa Sr. High in 1966. She soon entered Point Park College where she received a B.S. in Education. Later on Regina graduated from Penn State University with a Master's degree in Education.

In 1972, she began her career as a teacher with the Pittsburgh Public School System. There she taught Science and held the position as Instructional Team Leader. She took her jobs very seriously and performed them tirelessly. Regina commuted from Aliquippa to Pittsburgh to teach children from various backgrounds. No matter how challenging the job was, she accepted it and gave it her all. She retired from Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School where she finished over 35 years of teaching in the district.

Regina was a member of Triedstone Baptist Church since her childhood and frequently attended Bethel Baptist Church. She also was a member of The Women's Achievement Club of Aliquippa where her mother had been a lifelong member.

Regina was very devoted to her family. She was the only daughter and her family was always there for her as well as she was there for them. She loved discussing the history of her older family members and how they migrated from the South.  Regina (lovingly called "Aunt Gigi") by her nephews and nieces was always there to give positive encouragement to them.

Her passion for reading good books and seeking knowledge always brought her great joy. She could be found sitting in a book store having a cup of coffee while reading almost anytime of the day. Another passion of Regina's was shopping. She truly enjoyed browsing and looking for that item that would catch her eye. She also enjoyed dining out with her special friends discussing all sorts of topics that were of great interest. Lastly, we cannot forget how she was an avid football fan. Always you could find her in front of the television rooting for her favorite team, "The Pittsburgh Steelers".

The family of Regina Ann Cobb Simon wishes to thank all her neighbors and friends that would stop by to check on her and give help when it was needed.

Regina will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
