Michael graduated from Aliquippa High School, where he was a basketball and football standout, earning him a football scholarship to Slippery Rock University. Michael worked as a medical collections agent, where his kindness and supportive attitude were beneficial.

During the mid-years of Michael's time in this world, he gave his life to Christ. His passion for Christ leads to him becoming a member of the First African Methodist Episcopal Church of Los Angeles. Through faith and dedication, on October 25, 2015, he was set apart as Reverend Michael Roy Jackson and served as Local A.M.E Church Elder and Deacon. Michael was and still is one of God's most battle-hardened soldiers, leading many to Christ.

Reverend Michael enjoyed family, spreading Christ's word, writing poetry and essays, displaying witty humor, and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Reverend Michael was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia Jackson,  Grandmothers Climmie Jackson and Emily Calloway, Sister Ardel B. Taylor, and his beloved Aunt Lula Foster.

He leaves to cherish his memory, children; Jay Glanton, Michael Florence, and wife Maggie, Aaron Jackson and wife Stacey, Ashley Jackson, Alan Jackson, and wife Brandy, and Anjelique Jackson.  Siblings; Gary Jackson and his wife Marcia, Wayne Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, Pastor Richard Jackson and his wife First lady Rhonda Jackson, Jackie Walker and Moby, Marlin Hampton, and Husband, Steve. Aunts Madelyn Denson, Caroline Jackson, and Erma "Toog" Jackson.  Uncle Reginald Foster.; a host of beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friend Hank Williams
