On This Day, July 24, 2022, God chose one of the greatest men on Earth to live with Him forever in Heaven. Our Dad, our Gump's, our Hero, and we were so blessed to have him in our lives for 83 wonderful years.

A TIME TO BE BORN : Pastor Richard Eugene Kimbrough was born November 11, 1938 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania to the late William Stephen Kimbrough II and Maxine Love Kimbrough.

A TIME TO BUILD : Pastor Richard Eugene Kimbrough attended and graduated from Aliquippa High School, where he excelled in football and men's track with many honors. He also attended and graduated from the Columbia School of Broadcasting.

A TIME TO SERVE : Pastor Richard Eugene Kimbrough faithfully served in the United States Marine Corps (U.S.M.C.) stationed in Paris Island and the U.S.M.C. stationed in Albany, Georgia with a rank of L/Cpl.

Pastor Richard Eugene Kimbrough was called to ministry in May of 1962. He served as Chairman of the Board of Ministers, followed by Chairman of the Board of Elders at The Church In The Round, Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. He also served as Lead Engineer of the Award Winning "Across The Pastors Desk" radio outreach ministry.  He was a member of the Gospel Echoes along with Bishop Bernard Wallace, the late Dr. Curtis Lewis, Sr and Elder Frank Abercrombie.

Pastor Richard Eugene Kimbrough was appointed to the Satellite Ministry in Youngstown, Ohio. From the very beginning of this rooted and grounded ministry, and with its initial and humble challenges, trials and much tribulation it solidified and bound the hearts and spirits of faithful people together with eternal, time tested "cords of love".

In 1991, he received appointment by Bishop Melvin E. Clark and served as the founder and first Pastor of the Fellowship Church of God in Christ in Struthers, Ohio where he preached, taught and mentored the people of God as he was called, anointed and ordained to do. He served as District Superintendent of the Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Pennsylvania. He also founded and taught the Seed of the Word Radio Broadcast Ministry in Youngstown, Ohio.

A TIME TO EMBRACE : He married the love of his life, Grace Juanita Dorsett and birthed from this youthful union came the loving blessing of five beautiful children. Two faithful sons: Elder Kevin Eugene (Eleanor) of Aliquippa and Melvin Eugene (Adia) of Center Township. Three loving daughters: Twila Kimbrough-Taylor (Bruce), of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Tonya Verlin Kimbrough-Dawkins (Carlos) and Tiffany Maxine Walker (Eric) of Ellwood City. These marriage unions birthed twelve grand children: Evin, Christopher, Brandon, Aaron, Ryan, Tyler, Michal (Mikey), Amarian, Myles, Anijah, Ka'rin and Melvin, Jr. and three great grand children: Jamari, Jordan and Jael.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his brother Tellis Darnell (Sherris) Rochester, NY.

In addition to his parents William Stephen Kimbrough II and Maxine Love Kimbrough, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Stanley Kimbrough, William S. Kimbrough III (Mayme) and James R. Kimbrough (Deborah); daughter: Tonya V. Kimbrough-Dawkins (Carlos)
