Rita Marie Jackson

Rita Marie Jackson, 75, of Aliquippa, PA passed away February 23, 2026.

Rita was born on April 27, 1950, to Jewel Davis (Hall) and Clarence Cowart. She served as an LPN through Allegheny General Hospital before relocating to Baltimore, MD. In Maryland she worked as a laborer for the United Steel Workers of America from which she retired in 1991. One of the biggest and proudest projects she worked on was the construction of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Rita had a generous and giving spirit and was an avid donor to The Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude's Children's.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Robert Louis Jackson, Jr., brothers Jerome Cowart, Cordale, Jeremiah, Richard, Robert and Gordon Hall, sister Sharon Hall and beloved cousin Noreen Harvey.

She leaves to remember her, her daughter Rashaan Thomas (Rayon) Pittsburgh, PA, granddaughter Ranisha Jackson, Aliquippa, PA, great-grandchildren, who she loved dearly, Cottrell Ellis, Jr., and Izraiyl Johnson, brothers Clifford Hall, Jr., Brooklyn, NY and Forest Hall (Sylvia) Waldorf, MD, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will honor her memory with a private ceremony.
