Robert (Bob) Allen Love, Sr., departed this life in the presence of the Lord and surrounded by his loving family on May 18, 2025.

Bob was born on June 23,1943 to William and Christine Love in East Liverpool, Ohio. He was one of nine siblings.

Upon graduating from Lincoln High School in Midland, PA, Bob attended Virgina Union and was drafted in the Army.  He was stationed in Korea and honorably discharged after four years of service. Over the course of approximately 40 years, he worked for Crucible Steel, Duquesne Light and First Energy where he retired.

On May 29, 1971, Bob married the love of his life, Sylvia Jean Love (née Davis).  They were married for almost 54 years and had two children: Robert (Bobby) Jr. Love and Crystal Love and grandchildren: Robert (Robbie) Love III, Jalen Love and Zoey Love, Diamond Green and Demond Green.

Bob will be remembered for his strong devotion to his family, kindness, wonderful sense of humor, candid honesty, no-none sense demeanor, a man of his word, dependability, dedication, tireless work ethic and love for bowling.

He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he was baptized and served as a Trustee. In addition, he was the past Master for Ohio Valley Lodge 111 in Midland, PA and a member of the Masonic Prince Hall Lodge 117 Consistory #4 as a 32nd degree Mason, the Allies Silver Leaf Chapter #45 Deborah Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Inc. and the Baden American Legion Post 641.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents: William and Christine Love; siblings: Leon Love, Frances Ann Barbary, Tony Love, Gregory Love, Terrence Love and Baby Mike Love; Nephews: Jeffrey Love and Craig Love; Niece: Tracey Barbary and many other loved ones.

Along with his wife, children and grandchildren, Bob leaves to cherish his memories his siblings: Rosemary Wynn (and husband Bernard) and William Love, Jr.; Brother-in-law/Brother: Thackery Barbary; Brother-in-law: Zachary Hobbs, Sr.; Sisters-in-law: Kristina Jackson, Iris Love, Gloria Gates, Marquenta Harrison, Gwendolyn Oxendine, Geraldine Hobbs; Nieces and Nephews: "Nieces to Pieces" Lynn Barbary, Marlena Massey, Monica  Wynn, Darnell Wynn, Mike Love, Carlos Love, Sarina Bishop, Christine Frazer, Augustine Love, Thomas Love, Cora Love, Brandon Love, Terrence Oxendine, Stephen Oxendine, Kimberly Collins, Zachary Hobbs, Jr., Candice Hobbs and Maurice Hobbs; Long-time Friend and Mason Brother: Wilbert Singletary; Childhood Friend/Brother: Paul Anthony; Long-time Friends and Former Co-workers: Christine Moore and Eleanor Adams and a host of other family and friends.

Friends may visit with the family at Greater Emmanuel AME Zion Church at 185 6th Ave, Aliquippa, PA 15001 on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by the Masonic Rites from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, where a celebration of life service will immediately follow with Minister Nicole Singletary officiating.  Interment will be at Beaver Cemetery & Mausoleum.  Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 920 Franklin Ave, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
