Roderick La'Troy Jeter, 59, affectionately known as "Hoppy" was called home to glory on September 16, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones.  Hoppy was born September 12, 1962, to Shirley & Thomas B Jeter, Sr.

He was a 1980 graduate of Quigley High School where he is still well known & remembered for his athletic abilities.  He was very instrumental in the Aliquippa Youth & Midget Football Program.  He headed this organization for many years.  He was a great mentor, an awesome coach;  an all around wonderful "caring person".  He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  Hoppy was involved in Real Estate and a multitude of businesses.  He was the Founder of the Coaching Club, which was an organization that helped provide financial assistance to children who may not have been able to afford to play football.

If you knew Hoppy, you knew there were 3 things he did not play about, his mother, his children and his Dallas Cowboys!!

Hoppy will be sadly missed by his mother Shirley, father T.B. (Joyce); children Taria, Marquis, Shanaya & DaVonte "Will", all of Aliquippa; D'Mar & Jahmyl of Texas; Troy of Maryland; and De'Audra of Florida.  Brothers Ivan "Teddy", Sheldon "Spunky", Marquay, and Terry.  Devoted Auntie Rosie; along with some very special friends Jay Jeter, Dodd Walker, adopted sister Kim Walker, Robbin Walker, Ty Law, Dawne Taylor, Sherman McBride, Birdie Taylor, Marcee Richardson, Shelley Kimbrough, Danielle Samson, Jay Fields, Terrance Alford, Buddha Willis, Marvin Emerson and Kite Pinkins, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Amos & Jessie Gilbert, paternal grandparents Clayton & Mary Jeter and brother Thomas "Snooky" Jeter, Jr.
