Rosa Lee Adamson

Rosa Lee Adamson, 79, was born on October 6, 1946, and departed this life on July 2, 2026.

Rosa Lee Adamson, affectionately known to all as "Nana," passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

Nana was born in Georgia, to the late Lila Burden and Frank Adamson. She left Georgia at the age of six and made her home in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, where she would spend the rest of her life. She was one of ten siblings, and was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Charlie Frank Adamson (married to Gladys Adamson), Jamel, Rochelle, Loett, and Bobby Jean Adamson.

She is survived by her siblings Danny Adamson (Vanessa) of Austria; Robert Adamson and his wife Yvette Adamson of Aliquippa; Michael Adamson and his wife Tawana of Michigan; and Alisa Adamson of Aliquippa, PA.

Nana graduated from Aliquippa High School and went on to build a respected career as a Dietitian Supervisor, a role that reflected her lifelong love of caring for and feeding others.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Adamson; her granddaughter, Lakeya Whatley (Thomas Hannon); her great-grandchildren, Qiyawni Cox (Danye Williams) and Anthony Johnson III; and her great-great-grandson, DeNym Lee Williams, all of Aliquippa.

Nana found joy in the simple pleasures of life — hunting for treasures at garage sales, doing crossword puzzles, watching her favorite shows, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. But above everything, she loved to cook for her family. She was a phenomenal cook, and her kitchen was the heart of countless gatherings, filled with good food, laughter, and love. Anyone who sat at her table left both full and feeling cherished.

Nana's warmth, her cooking, and her devotion to her family will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved her. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Her best friends were Doris Robinson and Louise Sapp.
