Rosecilla Lillian "Rosey" Walker

Rosecilla Lillian "Rosey" Walker, age 91, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Monday, July 27, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Rosecilla Lillian Gilbert on October 11, 1934 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania to the late Amos Gilbert & Jessie Chaney Gilbert.

Rosey found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was a devoted member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan who never missed an opportunity to cheer on her team. She loved settling in to watch classic Western movies, where stories of courage and loyalty always captured her heart. Many afternoons were happily spent at bingo, enjoying the excitement, laughter and friendships that came with every game.

One of Rosey's favorite places was sitting on her front porch. With a warm cup of coffee in hand and her Beaver County Times spread before her. She welcomed each new day with gratitude.Neighbors often saw her sitting outside offering a friendly wave, sharing a smile. She treasured
peaceful morning walks through the neighborhood greeting familiar faces. Those walks reflected the way she lived her life-with purpose, kindness and an appreciation for the simple moments that meant the most.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the love she shared so freely. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for family and friends touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Rosey is preceded in death by her parents Amos & Jessie Gilbert, husband Donald Walker Sr., sons Derrick "Ricky" Walker Sr. and Marlin "Fatty" Walker Sr. and granddaughter Diedra Walker, sisters Louise Ingram, Fannie Smith, Mary Summers, Jessie Belle Walker, Imo Jean
Taylor and Shirley Jeter, brothers William Gilbert, Perry Gilbert and Charles Gilbert and sister-in -law Sarah Gilbert and grandson Trajon Walker.

She is survived by her loving and devoted sons Donald "Chuckie" Walker Jr and wife Sharon "Chedda" Walker and Terry Walker., grandchildren Donald Walker Ill and wife Amy Walker, Dwan Walker and wife Kelly Walker, Marlin "Keith " Walker Jr. and wife Reanna Walker, Derrick
Walker Jr. and wife Mahala Walker, and Torrence Walker, granddaughters Latiya Walker,Ateria Walker and Tasia Walker, brother in law Donald "BoBo " Taylor Sr. and host of grandchildren great-grand children, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by a special niece Lisa Walker-Spaniol, good friends Louise West and Gloria McFarland-Askew, bonus children Rev Ezra "Monty" Lowe, John "Jim Dandy" Lowe and Annette Lucas.

With grateful hearts, we extend our deepest appreciation to Bonita Lopez and Shaunie Owens for the unwavering love, compassion, and devoted care you showed our beloved Grandma Rosey "Baby" throughout her illness. Your kindness brought comfort, strength, and peace to both her and our family, and your love will never be forgotten.

We also offer our heartfelt thanks to the extraordinary nurses and staff of Good Samaritan Hospice Care in Wexford, especially the hospice nurses who cared for Grandma Rosey "Baby" with such tenderness, dignity, and grace in the comfort of her home. We are equally grateful to the compassionate caregivers of Cherish Your Loved One Home Health Care for the exceptional care, encouragement, and support you provided every step of the way.

A special thank you to Brent Sims for your faithful acts of service, especially the meals you so lovingly prepared and the many thoughtful ways you cared for Grandma Rosey "Baby." Your generosity and quiet compassion were a true blessing to our family.

To each of you, thank you for surrounding our grandmother with such genuine love and for walking beside our family during this sacred season. Your kindness, selfless service, and unwavering compassion have left an enduring imprint on our hearts.
