Sergio Mantez Elverton Sr., transitioned to his heavenly home on September 1, 2022 in
Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born April 5, 1987 to Carrie Elverton and Robert Leach.

Sergio graduated from East High School and was employed as a cook at the JFK center.
To know Serg, was to love Serg. He was very talented in football and basketball from elementary and
throughout high school. Serg LOVED to sing. His personality was like no other. He always wanted to
share love and knowledge to those who were around him. But, above all else, he enjoyed the time he
shared with his children.

Awaiting him at heaven's gates are his maternal grandparents Murray Elverton Sr. and Lena Elverton; his
niece Markia Ettison; and uncles Gene Elverton and Willie James Jones.

Sergio leaves to cherish his memory and carry his legacy, his children, Sergio Elverton Jr., Shaniya
Elverton, Niami Elverton, Taijjer Elverton, Danijae Elverton, Anaree Elverton, and A'Neah Elverton all of
Erie; three sisters, Shulonda Elverton of Erie, Pa, Kia Leach and Courtney Watts of Country Club, IL; four
brothers, Carlos Elverton Sr. (Tracee) and Ryan Elverton Sr. of Erie, Pa, Robert Leach Jr. of Lafayette, IN,
and Kyle Leach of Country Club Hills, IL; his fiancé, Taiece Thomas; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins,
and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday September 10, 2022 from 10am until the
Homegoing Celebration at 12 noon at Morning Star Baptist Church, 327 East 23 rd St, Erie, Pa 16503 with
Elder Durfey Wells Jr. Eulogizing. Interment to follow at Erie Cemetery.
