Steve Henry Thomas born on January 13, 1956, transitioned into heaven surrounded by his family on December 20, 2024, at age sixty-eight; following a long extended illness. Steve was born in Bruce, MS. to late Lorraine McIntosh and late Willie Thomas, but at an early age would be entrusted into the care of his parents, Zedie and Gertlean Thomas.

Steve graduated from Mercyhurst University with a degree in Law Enforcement that would lead him into a lifelong career in law enforcement. During college, he worked at General Electric. Following his graduation, he would join the Pennsylvania State Police. After some time with the Pennsylvania State Police Steve would resign from his position to join his brothers in Jackson, Mississippi in the start of their family business. However, to fulfill his dream in law enforcement, Steve would return to Erie, working at the Erie County Department of Corrections from there to Erie County Sheriff's Department, as Sheriff Deputy onto County Detective at Erie County District Attorney's Office. Steve remained in law enforcement for over two decades, at which time he was forced to retire due to extenuating health issues.

He enjoyed shooting pool, going to the gun range, playing chess, traveling, but most of all spending time with his family and extended family.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Zedie and GerleanThomas; four brothers, David Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Charles Thomas, and Robert Thomas; one sister Jessie Lee.

Steve is survived by his wife of 43 years Tracey Thomas, oneson - Steven Kyle Thomas, three daughters - Tamika (Daryl) Moffatt, Taiece Thomas and Teana Thomas, one brother - Bernard Mcintosh, Brother-nephew - Terry Manus-spearman, one sister - Kim Thomas; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; Six sister in-laws and three brother in-laws. And a host of nieces, nephews, & cousins.
