Sylvia E Long, 83, went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2022 after her journey with cancer.  She was born May 27, 1939 in Wheeling, WV to her parents, the late Clinton R. Long Sr and Ruth E Long(nee Murray).  She attended Lincoln High School where she graduated in l957.

Sylvia was known for her strong love and support she provided her family, community, and church.  She was a dedicated servant leader where she acted in many capacities such as being a cook, usher, food pantry volunteer, assistant for handicapped persons, as well being a helping hand to her neighbors as a baby sitter.

She is survived ny her daughters Clara Long and Rhonda Brown; her son Bobby Brown; her sister Delores Long; her grandchildren Jamie Brown, Jamaica Long, Michael Brown, Durran Long, Marquita Ford, Mark Ford, Saraita Ford, Myra Brown, Preshus Brown, Tajae Mills, Amiliana Ford; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  She is preceeded in death by her grandparents Effie Cauthen; her husband Ronald Brown Sr; her uncle Freddie Cauthen; her son Ronald Brown Jr; her daughter Debbie Brown; her brothers Clinton "Buddy" Long Jr. and Bill Long (Penny); her grandchildren Tierra Smith and Shekela Ford; and her parents.
