Veronica Michelle (Brown) Barrett
Born: April 19, 1963 – Died: November 24, 2024

Veronica was the beloved daughter of William "Bill" and Naomi "Jo" Fielder Brown. She was married to Michael Barrett, and together they had two children, Cameron (Micah) Barrett and Dahnivan Barrett. Veronica was a proud grandmother to Dayvion Barrett and Leona Barrett.

She is also survived by her siblings: Timothy "Bue" Brown of Eugene, Oregon; Darryl "Binky" Brown of Erie; James "J.J." (Lisa) Brown of Erie; David Brown of Tallmadge, OH; and Terry Brown (Lisa) of Raleigh, NC. Additionally, she leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Mona Cole-Coyle and Elicia Cole. Veronica was preceded in death by her father, William Brown, and her grandparents, Houston and Ulma Moffett Fielder, and Matthew and Earthalene Darby.

Veronica was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, and attended schools in both the Erie and General McLane School Districts. She later attended Edinboro University and graduated from J.H. Thompson Academy as a cosmetologist and barber. She worked in various barber and beauty salons and also operated her own salon, where she was known for her talent and dedication to her craft.

Throughout her life, Veronica was deeply involved in her church community. She became a member of Abundant Life Church in Erie, where she contributed to several ministries, including the Kitchen Ministry, the Greeting Ministry, and the Transportation Ministry. Her faith and service were an integral part of her life. She was an avid reader and writer. She authored the devotional From The Father's Knee, which reflected her deep spiritual beliefs and her commitment to sharing her faith with others.

Veronica will be strongly missed by her husband, mother, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the family at Abundant Life Church on Saturday, December 7, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, where a home-going celebration will immediately follow. Apostle Kevin Nelson will be eulogizing. Interment will take place at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Avenue, Erie, PA 16504.
