Viola was born in Union, South Carolina to the late James and Colleen (Norman) Porter.  She resided in New Jersey for most of her adult life. She relocated to Aliquippa, PA in 2018.  She always spoke about how she loved God.  She also became a Steeler fan ready to wear her black and gold on game days.  Everyone loved her because of her graceful spirit.

She is survived by her children; Judene Porter, Charleszetta and Albert Zatta, Barbrette Porter, James Porter, three grandchildren; Michael and Tonisha Lundy and Shalette White, five great-grandchildren; Michael A. Lundy, Cierra Lundy, Xavier Lundy, Maliah Lundy and Mazri Lundy  She also shared her life with four brothers and six sisters as well as a host of relatives and friends.
