WALTER LEE (GRAHAM) HARRIS, Sr.

On August 8, 2026, Walter "Sonny" Harris, Sr. went home to rest with his Lord, surrounded by his family.

Walter was born on April 4, 1943, to the late Walter Graham, Jr. and Margaret Fisher in Uniontown, PA.  Walter was raised by his grandmother, the late Katherine Harris.

Walter graduated from Rochester High School in Rochester, Pa.  He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Rochester, PA.

Walter is preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 52 years, Beatrice Burney Harris, his sister Katherine "Katie" Miller.

Walter retired at Crucible Steel and Harris Cleaning Services in Rochester, PA. He loved fishing and being around his sister Katie, mother, father, Willie Burney and Uncle Ronnie.  We loved fishing as it brought peace and joy to him. He enjoyed playing spades, you couldn't tell him he wasn't a master at spades.

Walter is survived by his sons, Walter Harris, Jr. and Ronnie Harris, his grandchildren Angela and Toya Harris, his nieces Melissa Miller, Tracy Black, Sareta Motton and Michelle Miller, great nieces and nephews.

My father was a good husband, father and friend to us – I am going to never forget him.
