William "Gat" E. Gaston,87, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2022.

Born January 9, 1936 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he was the only son of Luther Gaston and Jeannette Gaston Halley.

Willie was an avid reader, accomplished artist and a paratrooper in the U. S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division (Fort Bragg, North Carolina) and saw active combat in the Korean War (Police Action).

He is survived by four sons, Markie and Jason Adamson; Quincy and Romar Burden; three daughters, Felicia and Robin Gaston; and Chaurita Nance. Also surviving are two sisters, Frances Townsend of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania; Velesta Jenkins of Plumas Lake, California. Devoted niece Patricia Gaston and great nephew Roger Henderson; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Dean Holiday-Gaston, infant son father Luther Gaston,  mother Jeannette Gaston Halley and stepfather Tommie Lee
Halley.
